That's part of a linewide variant cover set themed around Spider-Man's black costume. It's 40 years since it's debut in Secret Wars.

Odd that it's not just a recolour of the usual blue costumes though. This design doesn't match any previous FF costume does it? Unlike the Ms. Marvel black suit variant, which is a monochrome version of Kamala's classic look.

For a line-wide theme, it's refreshing to see the actual stars of the book getting some cover space. The costume design itself is different in its movement of the 4 symbol to a side of the chest as opposed to the center and the vertical lines going through the symbol are an atypical feature of FF designs as well.

Silver Surfer is apparently in the movie... but Deadline says he'll be a she! Apparently Julia Garner has been cast as Shalla-Bal, who's usually Norrin Radd's girlfriend from before he became the Surfer, and she'll be the Surfer.

Interesting stuff, the futuristic looking city and people wondering how the FF will be introduced as caused speculation that the FF will take place in another universe and if the movie is a Galactus plot, might end with their world destroyed and traveling to the main universe.

Which would explain the female Surfer, in their universe Shalla-Bal was picked to be his herald, while Norrin could be the Surfer in the main universe.

Retro-futurism could be an interesting take though I feel like they don't need to jump into Galactus.
