I don't think Tom Taylor would write such a steamy scene.

Those look really nice, though it's too bad there's no Ted Kord cover for Blue Beetle.

"And in July, key character turnarounds have been pulled from the legendary DC Comics Style Guide to be featured for the first time on a set of Artist Spotlight variant covers honoring José Luis García-López!"
So they are not actual new drawings? Oh well, Garcia-Lopez is still king.

I've never seen those poses before-so they might be new or just art that has been in storage for a long time.

Seeing that he did so many outside of comics projects for DC those are probably unused sketches for either storybooks, underwear or toy packages.

About damn time! One of THE most underrated DC artists ever.
I'll be picking up the Flash & Green Arrow covers. (Probably all of them if I'm being honest with myself...)
"My name is Wally West. I'm the fastest man alive!"
I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter.

These are from the legendary DC style guide from the early 80's that Garcia-Lopez did for DC. Kinda like you said, it was for consistency across the books and merchandising. These, and a lot of others, pop up on the 'net every now and then.

Love those covers. Garcia Lopez is a true legend. I hope there are some new pieces with diffraction characters too. I’d love to see his take on newer characters like Jaime Reyes.

Makes me wonder, if/when DC updates their style guide (while great, these are 40-ish years old), who would be a good modern choice to provide the art? My first though: Doc Shaner. He has the kind of clean art style that would work for a document designed to be used company wide as reference. Second choice: Bill Sienkiewicz. Kidding.
