Nah, Taylor was never meant to be the architect. He is just not that sort of writer. He always writes elseworlds or pretty standalone solo series. Beast World was an arc of Titans that was upped to be an event.

The architect was meant to be Williamson imo. I suspect House of Brainiac and Absolute Power were originally meant to be the same event. Early Dawn of DC promotional images had Brainiac all over them and now we know The Light is just spoilers:

I think either the event got too big and Williamson just wanted to do the Brainiac stuff or DC wanted to close off Dawn of DC with something more linewide than a Superman event, so they split the events and added Failsafe to the mix.

No, he said it was editorial. DC announced the "Trinity of Evil" in November 2023, so it must have been around then.

I don't think the problem with the cartoon Light was the reveal (unless you found the roster boring) so much as the group wearing out it's welcome by season 4.

At the very least chances are the comic will resolve this better than the cartoon, by virtue of actually resolving the plot point since Weisman made it clear he has no intention of the Light ever being defeated even if we do get more YJ seasons.
