I've always loved that look and never been against Cassie chopping off her locks again. It isnt as if she is stuck with long hair nor am I against her having long hair. She just doesnt need to conform to anything because Kara returns. We arent clamouring for Donna to make any massive cosmetic changes.

And why did anyone call her Wonder Girl? There was nothing "Wonder" about her that the public would be like "Wonder Girl!!"
The public didn't know, but it was the first time Cassie and Diana were directly related. Wonder Woman was Wonder Girl's aunt and they met and had a discussion about it.
If I recall correctly the press dubbed Cassie Wonder Girl because she became famous for stealing artifacts. She also used a lasso so there was a visible tie to Wonder Woman.

Just discovering STEPHANIE TREVOR. I wonder if Byrne had retained stewardship of Cassie, if she might have gone through a similar visual phase...

Cassies storyline w/Ares was and remains one of her best storylines. If it didnt happen in this stupid "everything happened but didnt happen all at the same time" then it needs to be re-done. And should've been a storyline in YJ and any future adaptation that we may get.
given that it's the backstory of WHY Cassie has her own lasso?
Also the way Ares and Cassie are drawn here... the artist intentionally made Ares look similar enough to pass as a brother.
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the Ares storyline. It didn't accomplish anything to me, just felt like it was meant to force a wedge between Cassie and Diana, but we never got to see how where it could've gone. Plus, it was during that period where Diana wasn't "human" and "too perfect". Which I didn't like.
