Yeah, it's a lot better without the jacket.

It even looks more like her later YJ suit.

Enh... the texture is the issue to me... the new one looks too much like a body sock. The three I posted all have better texture. Even the Silent Armor look isn't JUST a body sock. This new one even the metal arm bands look painted on.

MUCH better. I wouldn't mind if the stars were less prominent or removed altogether. Let the stars be Donna's motif and leave the golden eagle and W insignia to be Cassie's Wonder touch.

That looks so much better and now I'm bitter this isn't her primary outfit! Cassie deserves better!

Just let her wear Donna’s 1970s red costume.

Donna's suit never looked right on Cassie. It's too old fashioned, the belt especially dates it. And that mom hair isn't helping.

Weird that they seem to have intentionally drawn the outfit as looking bad on Adult-ized Cassie, when the design is kind of timeless. I suppose they needed to suggest a reason she wouldn't adopt that look for herself at some point.

I think it was more that whoever was drawing her in that costume was also drawing her breasts as being BIGGER THAN HER HEAD.

She was a teenage character whose most iconic look up to that point included her having a much more age-appropriate physique for a teen girl, and suddenly her breasts were being drawn so large it was impossible to deny that she was being sexualized to an unhealthy degree. Except I think some were arguing that all female comic character were SUPPOSED to be sexualized, and they couldn't (or wouldn't) understand what anybody was complaining about. My memory isn't what it used to be.

That's definitely a few years past trends. In the late 80s early 90s, women would get similar styles to people like Princess Diana of Wales. Donna Troy got such a cut when she became Troia. But of course Diana died in 1997.

Of course Cassie in the Young Justice days was probably considered as much of a fashion disaster as Kitty Pryde of the X-Men. She only glammed up when she became a Teen Titan.

OK, but what age was she? the writing in that arc... made sense for a woman in her early 20s. The costume fit that.

Remembering when Cissie gave Cassie a makeover to impress Kon back in their YOUNG JUSTICE days in WONDER WOMAN #153
