Mr. & Mrs. X: The Gambit and Rogue Appreciation 2024

Speaking of, I saw something on Twitter mentioning that we're getting some kind of Gambit and Feint story in the X-Men Unlimited Infinity comic? But now I can't find it.

Basically when it comes to Remy I am always teaming him up mostly with gals. I think that was part of what made me positively gleeful about KTs X-team to rescue Rogue.

It was Gambit and his gal pals.

I always love to see him paired up with Storm, Laura or Jubilee.

To add interest to a story, it's fun to have an antagonistic foil like Bobby, Pietro, or Mystique.

Rogue should not fill this role and the sooner certain writers figure that out the better off they'll be. Most antagonism by Rogue should be playful teasing or affection. Like calling him Swamp Rat and not meaning it as an insult. She can be annoyed with him, sure. But contemptuous, no. They should have that fun push-pull of a couple who give each other a hard time just for the fun of it. I always like to see them together when the writing is done well.

Logan or Bishop kind of have that grumpy buddy cop vibe with him where sometimes they're his best pal and others they get put off by his lack of seriousness.

Of course I like it when he has a mentor role with a younger kid and Feint would make a lot of sense.

Listen Remy is a GD delight ... he should be great on virtually any team.

And it's always fun that with all of those nicknames the other characters just took it as being completely normal.

She calls him "swamp rat" in XTAS (and most likely will continue to do so in '97). In the comics not so much.
The "loverbayou" line was funny though.

It’s a lot of characters with star power if that Madam Web vision is to be believed. Thoughts on who else would fill out the ranks? I think they’d need a couple more ladies on this roster. Jubes?

Marquez is drawing Gail Simone's intro story for the X-Men in the FCBD issue. So it makes sense that they're both working together in the new X-Men book.
