    3. Does Hank 2 having a soul matter or not?
    4. Why does Hank 2 need glasses, wouldn’t evil Beast have got rid of the flaw?
    5. Exactly which ‘backup’ have they used here? When from?
    6. Are there more clones?
    7. If this Hank is from after Beast started going nuts then will the cycle will just repeat?
    8. How is anyone going to trust Hank 2 after the poop evil Beast has pulled?
    9. Can this clone degenerate?
    10. If this is an Avengers timeline Hank, won’t Beast 2 be very confused about the bigger, muscular body?

I am just ready for this era of Beast, and this era of the X-Men to be over.
    1. We don't know.
    2. If I'm understanding it correctly, yes this Hank has the soul of the original. But so does bad-Beast. No, I don't get it either.
    3. It matters to me and some others.
    4. Plothole. I don't know why Hank needed glasses in the first place. Doesn't his healing factor cover things like that?
    5. One leftover clone from his organic robot thing that Logan destroyed.
    6. Probably not, but we don't know for sure.
    7. It's from before, but his underlying issues still remain. Still, this one doesn't have the experience of being psychically (and physically) tortured 3 times, as well as all the tragedies the bad-Beast has been through, so I think he just needs some therapy.
    8. We don't know. Seeing Logan oppose bringing him back hurt, as they were once good friends (even if he's rightfully suspicious).
    9. We don't know.
    10. Yes, but it seems to be glossed over.

I would assume that each clone gets a new soul. The true question is who has Hank's true soul. I would like that to be the good one. But I also think he should have his memories. Up until somewhat recently probably. And I guess you could say that the bad Beast realized that there was a mistake and rigged the good one to resurrect with his true soul. As he died when Wolverine killed him. But then there should be some reason why he went bad in the first place. A corrupting force. Or say that he lost his soul in the earlier revivals. Or replaced with the new one because of a flaw in the programming. Man, all of this is complicates it far beyond where it needs to be. Should have used Krakoa to suggest that much of the characters have been clones and Mister Sinister was holding the real versions. And then write them all back on model. But it would only make sense to say that one version is the true version. And I understand that Marvel has been doing weird crap with cloning and acting like the clone is the is the first version after showing that it's not. Still, if the should dilemma is resolved, I hope he can at least regain memories through the 90s era and some after. It shouldn't be too difficult. Could say that Beast has the real soul and Charles or someone could pass some of the memories from the bad version and maybe say that he was himself until recently. And with the sliding timescale and all, it shouldn't really be that far back when you consider it. And much of it stories that don't matter anyway. But keep at least into the new century, so he A) is the true version of himself, B) remembers the stories people like, and C) is able to be there as himself from now on.
Good Marvel characters- Bring Them Back!!!

I posted this theory in the X-Force #48 thread but I think I made it too wordy or incomprehensible so I'll repost it here.

The gist is, Percy and even the editors seem to hint that bad-Beast knows something that no one else does. Deciding it would take someone without a conscience to do what needed to be done, Hank somehow divested himself of his conscience, and thus his soul. He also knows the risk of his bad-self going too far, so he counted on X-Force reviving him from an earlier back-up, the one he left untouched, to help bring down the bad-Beast. Bad-Beast, according to plan, left his memories up to his Defenders era in Cerebra, possibly because that was when he was happiest, before all the trauma and misery started. Cerebra fetched Hank's true soul to put in the clone body. It was all a massive gambit(no, not him!). Seems fitting for one of the smartest men in the world, right?

There are several holes in this theory, such as the completely petty and spiteful evil of bad-Beast as well as the ineffectiveness of his actions. And what problem could he have detected that he couldn't tell anyone else?

I was skimming the threads before delving into schoolwork, saw your post, and felt compelled to respond with: fabulous! I really hope this or something very similar to this will be revealed.
Jean Grey in the words of Walt Whitman, from his masterpiece Leaves of Grass, "Song of Myself" (51 and 52):

"Do I contradict myself? Very well then I contradict myself, (I am large, I contain multitudes.)"

"Failing to fetch me at first keep encouraged, Missing me one place search another, I stop somewhere waiting for you."

Keep in mind that NONE of my theories have been right so far. I'm only posting this one because some others have postulated this theory first, though I added some more onto it.

I posted a few other panels from this issue in the X-Force #48 thread.
I still want the moral Hank to take a leave of absence from the mutant teams for at least a couple of years. I'd rather see him as a member of the Avengers again.

And no one mentioned that Hank has no clothes on... I'm shocked!

The panel with a tear rolling down Hank's cheek after he reads about what his future-self has done hits like a truck...

Welcome back, Hank. I've missed the bouncy, blue softie from the nineties.

The more I think of this, the more I get pissed off. Percy is basically saying Hank has been pure evil since 1985. All of the things he's done, all the good he's done, he was evil all that time? What about in the aftermath of Onslaught, Hank brought Arty, Leech, and Franklin to his parent's house after Reed and Sue disappeared:

And after Arty and Leech got captured by anti-mutant bigots, he let himself be tied-up and beaten by them rather then let them hurt the children:

Is Percy saying that this is a lie? That this Hank is gone forever? Now replaced by a clone with some of his memories? I know I shouldn't get worked up over comics, and that the story isn't over, but I'm feeling all interest in following this draining away.

I feel like he's been destroyed. That's all I feel now about him.

thats not the impression Im getting at all.

With that said, I get your frustrations which is why I was always opposed to using a clone with a dated backup as a way to resolve this. It doesnt solve the issue and Id rather have watched Hank see the error in his ways and actually work towards redemption. Thats a more compelling story which would have been less messy and fewer implications

Is Beast back to his original blue form? That isn't his big-foot form either, right?
We are the Dora Milaje. We are the daughters of the 18 tribes of Wakanda. We are the teeth of the Panther God. Out of 10,000 years of sweat and bloodshed and battle are we born. We are the women of this ancient land. Deadliest of the species. And our time has come!

Technically this is just the big foot form introduced in All-New X-Men with the hair grown out, but effectively it's just a modern interpration of the 80s and 90s furball, yeah.
