The issue where she faced Angar in her first series is one of my favorites. Amazing art by Steve Leiloha and Al Gordon!

    I liked that issue too.

As far as SFO persons. Jess spent a lot of time with David and Lindsay (and Magnus who’s been written out of Jess’ storyline) , Poltergeist, Tigra, Tick Tock, Daddy Longlegs, Skein, and others.

Would love to see Mickey again.

Skein was considered Jess’ arch-nemesis but the two of them hardly interact anymore. Spider-Island was the last time and that had been the first time in decades.

Angar came back from being Scream in THUNDERBOLTS? That was a neat and creepy evolution for the dated character look...

Angar's resurrection has yet to be explained. It seems like he might be one of those things that happened when the Marvel Universe was recreated after Hickman's SECRET WARS, and some dead people were just suddenly back, and some characters who were originally from alternate universes were now part of the 616, etc. He's had a handful of appearances since his out-of-the-blue return.

I hope he gets an updated costume/look.

Him and Solarr both need to lose the outdated hippy look.

Just seems like ways for Marvel to re-insert Spider-woman's old origin if they change their mind in the future.

    Same!
Has anyone kept track of whether Bendis' insane revisions are canon?

I know certain elements have been expanded on thanks (!) to Karla Pacheco & Steve Foxe (Merriem / Taskmaster) but - assuming all that crap was Mentallo brainwashing, is everything currently still workable with the Wolfman / Goodwin / Gruenwald / Claremont origin narrative?

I'd love to see Emma Frost go into Jessica's mind and sort it out.

Jessica having a back story that involved the High Evolutionary and Bova was one of the most interesting things about her origin. It seems we have gone through a period where fantastical origins can not exist they have to scientifically explained and hand waved away. I realize there is a contingency that wants to tie Jess to Peter as much as possible, but I enjoyed the fact that her origin and powers were so completely different from his. As is, she can still be tied into the "Web" and have her original origin...to have been used by the HE and developed, maybe even for Hydra, who knows. There's so much more to it that can be done.

Yeah, being a Spider totem doesn't require you to share Peter's origin at all. Arana's unrelated apart from an early team-up for example. Jessica didn't need her origin changing to be part of the Spider-Verse.

Ideally, Jessica Drew as her best incarnation, should steal heavily from the CAPTAIN BRITAIN tag line "Dipped in Science, Clothed in a Magic" (and be the BATMAN of the Marvel Universe).

You've got me thinking...since Jessica Jones started out as a Jessica Drew plot line and had Jean Grey as her psionic psychiatrist with her mental block issues and the instances Jean and Emma acting together similarly to unravel issues in the minds of Prof X and Storm (in NEW X-MEN #121 and GIANT SIZE X-MEN: JEAN GREY/EMMA FROST respectively) it would be interesting to see something like the psychic surgery issues of X-Men explored with Jessica's jumbled memories...Jess and the Mutants are buddies, some universe synergy!

If this is the direction Jessica is going right now.. it may be time to reunite her with Lindsay.
