I feel they’ve ruined the dynamic with Aquaman and Manta with Aquamen. The pure blood feud always on site nature of Manta and Arthur were somewhat unique and I really enjoyed that. I get wanting to mix things
Up but having them team up and working together feels so wrong.
This stems from the issue that Chuck Brown for whatever reason wanted to turn Manta into a hero.
Luckily they have appeared to have largely ignored that since, with even Brown's recent Beast World Waller Rising special fully portraying Manta as a villain.
In Peter David's Aquaman run (Volume 5) #46, Aquaman deliberately gets himself killed by Triton so he can rescue Poseidon from Hades (the place). Hades (the god) agrees to let them both go, but on the condition that Aquaman owes him a favor (he deems it on par with the deal he made with Orpheus).
Was this favor ever called in before Hades' death in Wonder Woman Vol 2 #217?
Drowning IS awfully inconvenient. XD

I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter.
I totally agree. Aquaman teaming up with Orm might've been interesting but Black Manta? The guy that murdered Aquaman's son in cold blood should NEVER be considered an ally. At least not as casually as it was done in that mini. Plus it just wasn't that good of a story. If you are going to have them team up make it a good story at least. With the whole everything happened continuity now in play I want Aquaman and Mera to remember what happened. Then I want them to hunt Black Manta down no matter how long it takes.
Hey does anyone know what issue of Aquaman this is from?
I’ve had zero luck figuring it out. Any help would be appreciated.
It looks like it's from the Sub-Diego period since it's drawn by Chris Batista.
