Default Count Vlad Tepes Dracula Lord of Damned Apperciation 2024

I figure I make a appreciation thread for this character and anyone that want to show his appreciation, I remember when I read his entire Tomb of Dracula run by Wolfman and Colan, great stuff. I very much perfer his old look even if Bryan Hill is winning me over with his new look which at least he kept the tuxedo.

However anyone noticed the upcoming Spider-man 2099 crossover with Dracula.

Does it mean Drac will go back to his old mustache black hair look!!!!!! atleast for the year 2099. I wish there was a explanation why he currently look like Kain from Blood Omen.

Forgive me I'm having a hard time uploading images here because its invalid or too big. so if someone post pics here I appreciated.

I have never read Spider-Man 2099 but are these Draculas even the same characters?

IMO no one did a better job doing Dracula than the late Gene Colan

    This might help.....

Make sure your image file is a jpg. Then, resize your image so it is about 950 pixels wide, if you have image editing software.

I guess his 70s look is dated, but I just can't with the silver hair version. I was a big fan of his daughter Lilith -- and that she was virtually his equal in ability.

Is Marvel's Dracula still Vlad the III or have they changed that?

I'm of the mindset that if you want to use Dracula, you make him look like Dracula. The suit and cape may be a bit dated, but it's part of the character.

The silver haired red armored guy has never really stuck me as looking like a guy called Dracula should.

Agreed. I don't like the current take on Dracula. The new guy doesn't look like Dracula, doesn't act like Dracula, just isn't Dracula.

Classic Dracula is Back!!!!! I don't think he ever made a entrance like that in his white hair clean shaven self.

Oh man Read the Spider-man 2099 issue with Dracula today. I don't normally like Steve Orlando work but he wrote a solid Drac and its so great seeing him in his original form. its a delight reading his dialogue. anyone read this too?

Remembering the MCU adjacent BLADE:TRINITY and its take on (sexy beast!) Dracula/Drake portrayed by Dominic Purcell

I am a big Dracula fan. I read the Stoker novel 3 times by age 15.

I read Tomb from # 1 up and all that.
So I mostly agree, the visual appearance and to some degree personality or feel of more recent stories about Dracula don't cut it. So I haven't really read a lot of them.

Ironically the novel starts Dracula with white hair, which turns gray than black as Dracula becomes younger drinking blood. Novel Dracula also had a big moustache.

Gene Colan was the best. The mysterious tone, etc.
But I like Dracula still being a character in Marvel, even though I'm not relating well to it.

I came for Kate, I stayed for Bette Love Fantastic Four, Namor, Batwoman, Dr.Strange.... i love them all
