Carol was in the latest issue of Sensational She-Hulk. When Jack of Hearts saw her, he called her Ms. Marvel - but that's not right. When Jack died in Avengers Disassembled, Carol was still Warbird. It was after House of M that she took back the Ms. Marvel name, right? A year after Disassembled, and therefore after Jack died?

No - Carol was in civilian clothing when Jack met her again in She-Hulk - though she did have the sash from her old Captain Marvel costume. Jack was resurrected at the beginning of the previous She-Hulk series by the same creative team, so he was dead the entirety of her second stint as Ms. Marvel.

Not for much longer. Kamala's in her 11th year now, she debuted in 2013. Both of Carol's stints as Ms. Marvel were shorter than that (1976 to 1981, when she was depowered by Rogue, and 2005 to 2012, when she became Captain Marvel), but both combined are longer than Kamala's - by just one year at this point. Sharon Ventura only used the name for a short time before becoming She-Thing I believe, and obviously Karla Sofen's tenure in the Dark Avengers was short as well (both only being a couple of years, I think?).
Oh this is a fun bit of trivia - Kamala of course is a massive fangirl of Carol, but she wouldn't have known when she named her Champions team that Carol's Kree name Car-Ell means Champion - she accidentally named her team after Carol! Carol only found out about her Kree heritage in 2018 after all, which is two years after the Champions team debuted.

It'll also never not sound like a Superman knockoff (Superman of course being Kal-El) - and Carol already has the same last name Supergirl uses in her secret identity (her classic one is Linda Danvers and her most recent one is Kara Danvers, though it's not been used for a while as Kara seems to lack a civilian job lately).

Britain's The Sun newspaper today has an article about the latest winner of the Miss America beauty pageant, calling her a real life Wonder Woman. Writer clearly doesn't know her superheroes, as she's more like a real life Captain Marvel. Went to space camp as a kid, then joined the USAF and NASA, and for the talent part, instead of singing or dancing she talked about leadership. That sounds a lot like Carol! She's blonde too.

The MCU should have explained the "Captain Marvel Marvel" name in a way similar to the Ultimate one
There's a Carol cameo in Dead X-Men. It's a future where she's reverted back to the Warbird identity and joined the Starjammers.
