Jean Grey in the words of Walt Whitman, from his masterpiece Leaves of Grass, "Song of Myself" (51 and 52):
"Do I contradict myself? Very well then I contradict myself, (I am large, I contain multitudes.)"
"Failing to fetch me at first keep encouraged, Missing me one place search another, I stop somewhere waiting for you."
Very nice! Rachel has a lot of Phoenix-like imagery now, with the hair and flame hands, drawing on Phoenix energy without being an avatar is a nice workaround. I wonder if she can mentally or physically jump into the White Hot Room like she's done before (Phoenix LS, House of M, etc.) whenever she wants. Rachel has compatibly hosted the Phoenix for thousands to millions of years, from awakening in 616 to the ends of the timestream, but the 'conscious' Phoenix entity tended to gaslight Rachel. "I kept Rachel's -- my baby's -- soul safe" (That's it? The Phoenix can do ANYTHING), "Rachel, you are reborn from the ashes of defeat as the one true phoenix" (Mmmm hmmm), and literally scrambling her memories so she wouldn't leave 616.
I would presume that due to her birthright, status as a leading former host, and one that can still draw upon its power across the multiverse she can. She's been there before. As the Guardian of the Timestream of shouldn't be an issue. I'm actually hoping she had a role in breaking people out of the WHR. Jean sends her a distress signal and she and Betsy come running (as Betsy has also been there before).
Probably for no other reason than she is currently dating Rachel and it'd be another way to showcase that.
I say let the mother-daughter reunion be just that and not some "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" moment.
Well prior to the Hellfire Gala they were off saving the multiverse so one would assume if they both have history with the WHR Betsy might join her.
They had a whole book to showcase it so it's not like it would be shocking if they appeared together. And they are currently being written as a couple in separate books so it's no biggie.
I said showcase not shock about the pairing. Just that they might want Betsy there for no other reason than she is currently dating Rachel.
Has Rachel encountered her birth mother again and had a touching moment? The Jean/Phoenix that has memories of giving birth and raising her.
Last I checked, and unless you mean via that which has become a stock joke, "The White Hot Room", Jean Grey of Earth-811 died via a Nuclear bomb detonation. It should also be noted that its in Uncanny X-Men Vol 1 #199 that we see for the first and only time Jean Grey of Earth-811.

Ahhh, cool. I thought this could be Rachel's mom, but then there's so many questions how... rachel40.jpg
