    Luthor has his own "Rain of Supermen" by deactivating the powers of the Everymen artificial heroes in 52 #35...

    Agreed. I really liked this story since it complicated the picture of Superman being the representative of the norm or mainstream. He has had his own issues with identity and belonging.
