Absolutely loved Geoff Johns' first run on Flash...

I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter.
Totally. In the process of reading Johns' first run on the Flash right now. Totally digging it. I realize that at the time there were all of these splash page worthy moments especially with Flash's rogues gallery. Johns showed just how dangerous the Rogues could be. At the same time, he introduced different rogues that didn't seem to mesh with Flash's world. I remember hearing about Murmur and thinking that he was more of a Batman character rather than a Flash one. Pages like this showed why Flash's villains were gaining my respect:
"I am a man of peace."
"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."
Mr. Terrific and Jay Garrick have a conversation. And Jay proves why he is one of the best mentors in the DC universe:
"I am a man of peace."
"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."
Batman & Joker from José Luis García-López
"Good-bye. Good luck. Good riddance."
Barry Allen: The Flash from Dan Mora
"Good-bye. Good luck. Good riddance."

^^^Personally, the Aquaman from this era will always be among my faves

One of the most creative depictions of Nightwing I've seen in a long time. Nightwing #87. Check it out:

"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."
