I see the worship has started. Our Ororo really had/has a really great week. Getting her powers in X97 and also travelling at FTL speed or maybe even MFTL, can't wait to see next week's comic. And this being covered.

The adaptation of the Cockrum design looks better in action than that still conveys. PRYDE OF THE X-MEN did it better in some ways.
Some speculate that she'll wear that look for the rest of the season. I wonder if they will go with a more modern version of that concept or take the looks retro overall.

Considering she has long hair and the tiara, I think she will have the later version of that look
Marrow cut her hair with her bones during their fight
She kept it long for a couple of issues until she chopped the rest of it off to have those two long strands

Hear me out.
Jayme Lawson could also make a fabulous Storm.

She has those Ororo eyes.
Rare occasion where the changes to a character's hair were gradual. The transition was gradual by comics standard. The growing out of Ororo's hair in the Adversary-verse is another example...
Hair progression in action a version of the Cockrum look that I expected before the original look.

I think that was part of it. However, i ultimately believe it was magic that allowed her victory over him. Magic, as shown by Forge's spell, was the only means to do any harm to Adversary. If it was simply overcoming her fear alone, I think at the point she no longer feared him he would have vanquished but more had to be done.
Adversary had started to warp the world around her, constricting the literally cave wall into her but Ororo moved the rock back to its original position, then shot the creature with lightning that ultimately vanquished him. I think through her will she tapped into her magic unconsciously allowing her to undo what Adversary had done, including growing her hair and creating her tiara from seemingly nothing. So yes conquering her fear was key but that alone wasn't enough to defeat Adversary.

ALL HAIL THE HADARI YAO, THE OMEGA'S OMEGA, BEYOND OMEGA, THE VOICE OF SOL!!!! NOW AGAIN THE ONE TRUE AND ONLY GODDESS OF THE X-MEN AS CLAREMONT INTENDED!!!!!
Immediately after Uncanny 325 (when she fought and "killed" Marrow) Storm had her mini-series. Terry Dodson drew her with her hair back to normal, but at the end of the series, Storm debuted her new look and costume to embrace her harder/edgier side again.
It was kind of a callback to her punk/mohawk debut. I was never really sure if Madureira or Dodson designed it, but I think the former.
I never liked the tiara version because it took away the flowy cape stuffs and kind of changed the coloring to almost purple. She ended up looking like any 90s character with exposed midriff and gaunlet-y gloves.
I loved seeing our goddess regaining her powers and hair back! I love her in her OG costume.
But if the whole tem get new costumes by the end of the season I wouldn't mind seeing Ororo in some form of the Outback lightening bolt black costume.
A picture would last longer darling...
