Oh, I was looking at the pic, how was the Cloonrad version different?

It was still rather impressive with the tools it had were they used better.
Professor Calculus was essentially a seer able to predict what would happen and potential outcomes.
Doctor Psycho was able to manipulate minds and control the narrative.
Duke of Deception has ALOT of ability which was poorly utilized in terms of trickery and subtefuge.
And Doctor Poison who we have seen create oh so terrible monsters which Wonder Woman would struggle with in the past.

So long as they avoided direct confrontation and relied on indirect attacks, they would have made for a credible threat that could have played out for a while.

The group consisted of Dr. Psycho, Dr. Poison, Professor Calculus, a Wonder Woman duplicate from the Image Maker's creation, and the Duke of Deception.
Currently(or soon to be) Reading: Alan Scott: Green Lantern, Batman/Superman: World's Finest, Fire & Ice: Welcome to Smallville, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Jay Garrick: The Flash, Justice Society of America, Power Girl, Superman, Shazam, Titans, Wesley Dodds: Sandman, Wonder Woman, & World's Finest: Teen Titans.

Ok, that... actually seems pretty scary for WW to solo. Sure, individually she could easily beat them all. but 5 on 1?

Well, the Wonder Woman duplicate didn't seem to be even close to Diana power-wise. Dr. Poison was not presented anywhere near as deadly as she was under Eric Luke or Phil Jimenez. The Duke of Deception was defeated in less than 5 pages. It really was a let down and I liked the Cloonrad run for the most part.

Yeah, the way it was built up you can tell the writers had plans to make this a long term menace.
But then they were swiftly dealt with and were told that they were all along being manipulated and controlled by Hera who was the REAL big bad because there was an event coming up that was editorially mandated~

Just like how 'Altuum' was initially introduced as the first of an army and how they have been living in the ocean waiting for Diana to die so they could strike, and had already begun plans when Diana returned but were unable to stop her......Only for the whole thing to be retconned as this lone guy whose been around for four thousand years in a submarine, and how he was working for Chaos who only decided to get revenge on Wonder Woman in the past week.

The writers clearly had alot of set ideas but struggled to make those ideas work when confronted with editorial mandates.

Good case as any for a second WW solo comic.

Hades and animation has been interesting. JL basically made him into Ares-lite in terms of look and there he was charming but hide a demonic side.

In the 2009 dtv..he's....the total opposite.
