New, Young, and Disenfranchised: Academy X-Men Appreciation 2024

I have a big surprise to reveal: The very first Young/New X-Men kid hero will make their entry on the Marvel Contest of Champions game.

It's not Armor, it's not Hellion, or Surge, it is.....

That actually seems very fitting considering I think she was the first one from this class introduced, and the only character that I think really successfully integrated from the Morrison run to Academy X.

That raises the question of "Biggest success stories: YOUTH edition" -- who qualifies?

I'd definitely say Prodigy, Dust, Armor and Pixie. Any other contenders? I'm not including Laura because she's been destined for prominence from the jump.

That's also a really nice look for her. Not as traditional as the all-black look, but still, cool.

I don't know if you have heard of uncannyxmen.net. It's a database page of the X-men that had spotlight pages of the characters (featuring their biography, important issues, costumes and alternate versions) and after a time they update them too. They have already made pages for characters like Armor, Blindfold, Dust, Elixir, Gentle, Icarus, Onyxx, Prodigy, Pixie, Wind Dancer, Wallflower, Wither, Wolf Cub and X-23

This month it had been declared the Academy X month and will feature spotlight of the X-kids, Rockslide being the first this month. Hopefully they'll bring more spotlight of other academy kids.
