I'm not sure about this. Just because you can make a horror movie based on a family-friendly property that recently entered the public domain, it doesn't mean you should. Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey was, aside from the animated intro giving the backstory, just a cheap badly-done, misogynistic slasher movie filled with tropes people got sick and tired of over three decades ago, relying solely on the name recognition of Winnie the Pooh.

I'm pretty sure Mickey's Mouse Trap will probably be mediocre at best, with only the fact that its slasher wears a Mickey Mouse mask distinguishing it from other cheap horror films.

Granted, one DOES have to make their product different from Disney's so that no one will mistake it for a Disney production. And yes, horror is one way to do that. Disney's Winnie the Pooh doing what Blood and Honey's Pooh does is about as likely to happen as Superman snorting Kryptonite.

But it's still unimaginative, lazy, and cheap. It's relying on name recognition instead of putting actual real effort into a product.

Unimaginative, lazy films get made all the time though. Life goes on, and maybe something better gets done with Mickey later.
