Comics is a visual medium. Moon Knight looks really cool. That's it IMHO. What keeps him around is the look. You can't let a cool look like that go to waste. The character is the comic equivalent of those strawberries you buy at the farmers market, you don't really like strawberries but they look so delicious and then you end up forcing yourself to eat them because you don't want them to go to waste.

Poor Max was grafted onto Julia during Civil War, and had the misfortune of then being picked up by Mark Waid, who doesn't believe villains should have depth. And since he was opposing DD, that made him a villain.

Hopefully Jed can rehab him, but it is likely a long road.

It doesn't say anything about an ending, I think its just atypical numbering.

1st issue is extra length so the first 4 issues have the same general pages as a regular trade, so looks like the first volume wants to end on Shroud being unmasked.
