And Jason is again used as punching ball for Failsave ...
To be fair, everyone comes off as being really stupid about Failsafe.

Jason just got himself a new girlfriend. Not bad.
The Hill continues to be very enjoyable, even if Jason is taking the backseat while everything is being set up. A price I'm happy to pay if it means he gets to be an effective vigilante instead of the dumbass running head-first into traps ranting about Joker.
Reading this book feels like a chore.
Also I get bringing in a popular character to push a new one, like how Spirit World brought Cass along for the ride, but it typically happens in the OCs introductory book not the main attractions book. Yeah figures, of all the bats, only Jason could be relegated to being a side character in his own mini series.
I thought there would at least be something more impactful to Jason's role in the book beyond the preview, but nope.
We are a third of the way through this title, and the most substantial thing Jason has done in this book is rebound with a random plus sized waitress.
If anyone is looking for better Jason content, try the Batman Justice Buster Manga. Personally I'm really liking it. It's a different universe but it's got intriguing yet familiar takes on the characters you know, and the authors take on Jason feels way more respectful and interesting than anything going on at DC right now.

I don't think the series is that bad, as I mentioned, everything is clearly building up towards something, and far as pushing OCs go, I'll take Martinbrough's approach of him being a mentor than have Jason be a punching bag for them as in pretty much every other book, any day of the week.
