Oh no, Sabertooth got Quire and Daken! Anyways...
But honestly it's nice to see Creed playing for keeps again.
Unfortunately I saw a lot of Percy and almost nothing of Lavalle in this first issue.
I don't care about the deaths or the gore.
They finally killed the multiple time rapist psychopath. Thank you Creed! Thank you Creed!
Yes I know Creed is just as bad but it always felt…awkward having Dakken treated so lightly considering the truly heinous crap he got up to.
Do Mastermind next!
Percy delivered on his promises in issue 1. This was surprisingly gory for a 616 comic, I hope they let the artist just run wild with the violence for the run. Really good issue, I felt bad for Daken but I’m sure he’ll be back.
All the sadder because this era's been very, very kind of Akhiro. Also the double standard makes me eye roll ... it was Laura, or the Badger? Maytag couldn't pump out the number of fridges in this thread.
But in an environment every has crazy healing factors, that might up the horror more, not less.
I’ll say this: Dakken dying is fine. If they kill Laura to try and replace her with Talon I think they’ll cause enough shockwaves to finally have the earth swallow the marvel offices.
This was a breath of fresh air from everything that has happened in this dragged out FoX era. Especially with respect to Sinister. This was totally brutal.

This gave me some serious "I Am Bane" vibes, but with much more gore. Fun issue, though I'm still not sold in the Multiverse Sabretooths; I suffer from Multiverse fatigue (except with the Spider-Verse movies and current season of Invincible).
It reads as a 90s Sabretooth story, when he was a menace. Glad to have that back. Hope it goes beyond this story.
"The Batman is Gotham City. I will watch him. Study him. And when I know him and why he does not kill, I will know this city. And then Gotham will be MINE!"-BANE
"We're monsters, buddy. Plain and simple. I don't dress it up with fancy names like mutant or post-human; men were born crueler than Apes and we were born crueler than men. It's just the natural order of things"-ULTIMATE SABRETOOTH
I was surprised to see the Parental Advisory logo on the cover... and then I read the issue . I thought it was a really strong start and I just cannot wait to see what happens next.
