Oh he’s definitely been portrayed as a cannibal before. I think it was in the Weapon X (late 90’s/early 00’s)series. Dude was SUPER scary in that series.

I find Sabretooth vs Wolverine stories dull, repetitive, predictable; so far this isn't any different. Feels tired, especially the birthday stuff.

But I'm hoping that once the Exiles show up, it'll catch my interest.
