That's what I was thinking, too, but that would also assume that they're not continuing to fire shots in the dark, story-wise. And yes, the implications would be terrible.

So much randomness happens, or things that don’t make sense, that I get the impression modern spider-man writing is brainstorming, then final draft, or at the very least editorial and writers agree set-up is a waste of time.

The fact that the last tie in to this POS "event" is not even a Spider-Man book says just how idiotic it is.

I mean why do they even have Peter give a so call speech about getting more heroes and getting back at them for hurting his freind?

He didn't lead anything at all and was taking orders from Tombstone and getting sass from his "team"...at this point just end this run with Peter getting perma killed and let Miles take over or bring back Kaine and let him be Spider-Man.
