It's really hard to find someone in DC who HASN'T been in the League, in one way or another. I think the only thing harder is to find someone in Marvel who HASN'T been an Avenger, in one way or another.

A Justice League Year One inspired line up…:

CAPTAIN COMET (Green Lantern)
The earth born space guy. No GL Ring, but CC has a wide array of mental and physical abilities that make him pretty formidable. And a raygun.

TURBINE (The Flash)
A Tuskegee Airman who disappeared into the Speed Force in the past and reappeared in the present w. cyclone based superspeed.

SILENCER (Black Canary)
An ex-assassin highly trained in MA and weapons use. She has a sound based superpower, able to create a field of total silence.

KORYAK (Aquaman)
He’s Aquaman’s illegitimate child, and has all the requisite Atlantean powers to include hydrokinesis. He actually prefers to spend his time on land, though.

JEMM SON OF SATURN (Martian Manhunter)
Alien Royalty by birth, philosopher by choice, and warrior by circumstance, he’s the least normal looking member of the team.

SANDMAN for the street-level mystery man who's paranoia tells him to keep a close eye on these people

LIBERTY BELLE (Libby Lawrence) hoping this is obvious enough

STARMAN (Prince Gavyn) an alien marooned on earth with powerful energy weapons at his disposal

QUICKSILVER (Max Mercury) human manifestation of a mysterio0us extra-dimensional energy, which he refers to as "the speed force"

J'EMM, SON OF SATURN sorry Riv, but J'emm was always in the back of my mind as a stand-in for J'onn as well, and I'm not changing g it just because you also used him lol

TSUNAMI mysterious, somewhat abrasive, water-breathing/hydro-kinetic heroine, from Japan (bet y'all forgot about her lol)

as the original seven... later on, others could be added, such as:

PHANTOM LADY (Sandra Knight) fierce hand-to-hand combatant, with umbra-kinetic abilities she doesn't fully understand yet...

BLACK CONDOR (John Trujillo) standing corrected on a previous statement, John is a winged warrior with aerokinetic abilities + a newly discovered "sonic scream"*

DOLLMAN (Lester Colt) size-reducer with a military background

ZATARA (Giovanni Zatara) the OG top-hat sorcerer

FIREBRAND (Janet Fals) pyrokineic who fights literally to remain alive

MEKANIQUE android with phasing, enhanced senses, flight + electron- and neutron-manipulation

SHIFT Metamorpho and Element Woman have been in the JL, but Shift - who has the same elemental, stretching and shape-shifting abilities - has not!

ETRIGAN so instead of finding an archer to stand in for Oliver Queen, I tried to think of another character with a talent for pissing off their team-mates... and I'm betting the constant rhyming, coupled with the uncomfortable observations it usually contains, would have a similar effect on the others. yes, I know Jason Blood joined during "The Obsidian Age", but that was Jason stuck in human form. this is Etrigan with no host at all, just to clarify. his unfiltered, almost-autistic tendency to constantly tell it like it is with no sugarcoating, would be the reality check none of them want, but a few of them probably need nonetheless

if anyone wants to do up a photo for this, be my guest!

* - I've always found it kind of dumb that aero-kinetic characters don't also have audio-kinesis by default - sound/audio is just air being moved at specific frequencies, so aero-kinetics should have no issues with this!

TBC it wasn’t what the person was saying that made me SMH, it was the snarky way he said it; mindful of not getting banned from a site I’d only just joined I let it go w. something along the lines of “you know these are all in fun, right”?
