Very good preview, Don. I might actually DL another issue of WW, after seeing this. Thanks for sharing it, here.

I appreciate that they find a good solution to picking which Giganta origin to go with XD

I always love good villain build-ups.

Those introductions of Giganta and Circe are just (chef's-kiss).

Wow, that dialogue between the Wonders is...rough. "Chattering?" Also King doesn't know how to write Yara.

Is there any real reason for Giganta to have a giant cell? Would she want to be giant 24/7? Shouldn't you be negating her powers?

Why will they not move past this Circe design? Is it out of respect for Rucka/Evely? I'm not sure Sampere could come up with something better but still. Oh, I guess the pigs are a mythological Circe reference.

"I did not have a sidekick" - even though canonically Donna and Cassie were still your sidekicks.

Except for his mopey Donna, I thought TK's dialogue was fine, for the most, and that he nailed a sustainable voice for Yara, here. It's Diana's responses - specifically, her problem with talking -that sounds off. Diana isn't Batman; she likes talking!

Enhh...? Typically, WW has treated Cassie and Donna as her little sisters and proteges - not her sidekicks. I don't think WW an WG have ever been written like a hero and sidekick combo.

Tbf, Donna spent most of her time as Wonder Girl with the Teen Titans or with Hippolyta. I think that makes Diana's assessment of Donna at least never really needing her to be accurate.

I have never seen Yara talk like that. I mean, the attitude is kind of similar but also portrayed excessively. But King has this weird thing about Amazon dialogue.

A protege is basically a sidekick and Cassie did sidekick stuff with her.

I guess that's fair but I think canon-wise they still spent time as partners.

Yeah's not like there are a whole bunch of Silver Age comics featuring Diana and Donna together fighting Cheetah, Mars(now Ares), Angle Man, Silver Swan, or Dr. Cyber. Donna was an occasional guest-star at best in Diana's solo adventures. There just wasn't even close to the same amount of material for Batman & Robin, Flash & Kid Flash, Aquaman & Aqualed, etc. I'm sure Diana did mentor Donna but I don't think they were constant teammates.
Currently(or soon to be) Reading: Alan Scott: Green Lantern, Batman/Superman: World's Finest, Fire & Ice: Welcome to Smallville, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Jay Garrick: The Flash, Justice Society of America, Power Girl, Superman, Shazam, Titans, Wesley Dodds: Sandman, Wonder Woman, & World's Finest: Teen Titans.

Im enjoying the synergy right now. We see Giggy in Beast World where she's basically captured just in time to be recruited here

Diana and Donna are more like Clark and Kara or Bruce and Barbara: they team up from time to time, but are generally independent from each other. Probably more independent than most of us would like, but that's how it is.

Because it's more visually impressive to draw her in a giant cell than a regular sized one.
