Working New Japan doesn't seem like a punishment at all.

Tony is likely thinking of the millions of dollars he lost from PPVs , ticket sales and merch. Vince would have fired both honestly there the second it happened. He would have went off backstage and told the road agents ..."His ass is fired the moment he walks back through the curtain..." (and Vince has done it before with Ultimate Warrior and someone else)

Whomever is booking ROH, needs to be booking the main shows.

Their stuff is 1000% better and it's not even close.

It kind of reminds me of NXT Black and Gold vs. then WWE quality comparison. As in, "if the development show can be this good, why not the main show?"

Dave is definitely getting worked. If Tony felt that strongly about Jack Perry he would have fired him. It does him no good to keep a liability around. I expect Jack to be back on AEW TV for the build for Forbidden Door

We have to remember…Tony rarely if ever fires someone. Punk was one he literally was having to do. He could be pssssd at Perry and just let his deal run through while he’s in Japan.

I think we will get the answer if Perry returns to TV as you mentioned Beastie and signs him to a new deal. If he doesn’t…then we will know.

I disagree with the sentiment of this article. While I'm sure the company would have loved to have Okada and Osprey but they are not sweating losing them. Now more than ever they have multiple people who are over and looking over at NXT they have some bonafide future stars in Trick Williams, Oba Femi, Bron Breakker, Jaida Parker. Since Trips taken the wheel the NXT to main roster pipeline is actually working as intended.
