Moné has actual crossover appeal apart from just ex-WWE star.

Moreso than Jericho. He was ex-WWE, former Turner Broadcast darling (not true but they played it up), minor actor, and minor music star.

Moné has ex-WWE, minor anime star, the car racing scene loves her, she has a song written about her by the Mountain Goats (I think Bliss, Savage, Andre, and Bret Hart are the only others to have FULL songs written about them) and Star Wars minor actor to her name.

She has a little more pull IMHO.

Yeah she definitely has that mainstream appeal. Glad she seems to be somewhere where she's truly appreciated. I'll be watching more AEW.

As Bischoff points out, if everyone dresses up like Eddie Kingston does , it pulls attention from the character he can be like that. If your roster is all like that it doesn’t make the guy different.

The first big crossover is Bloodsport X WWE. This is apparently a Triple H baby since before NXT. More talents are expected to be announced shortly.

Woods and Kai are heavily rumored as is Danger getting a guy and Hunter asked for a Janela match for someone. They asked for Omos, too.

Heard Mone's debut segment popped a million viewers in the ratings. Take notice HHH/WWE. Sasha Banks is a bonified star. Congrats boo.

i'm no xpert on these things but i heard mone had like zero impact on the overall ratings for the show.

i honestly don't think she's a good fit for aew. i think she's kind of reckless, not in the sense she will injure opponents but i think she'll injure herself. aew won't tell her no and i think that will lead to her spending a lot of time on the shelf getting paid a shitload of money to heal. time will tell if she's worth the money.

Guy was the only one who made money with WCW , helped kick start the Monday Night Wars etc. You may not like him , but he spoke a lot of sense about the looks and characters presented. As he said about Kingston , if he was pitched Eddie was gonna be a newer era Dusty Rhodes …he’d make sure no one else has his same look. Because it makes him unique.

Yes but unfortunately the show only averaged 798k viewers, it was originally at 801k but after the overrun was factored in it went down a bit. I'm surprised her debut video on YouTube hasn't cleared 1m views yet tbh. At this time it's only at 839k viewers after 3 days. Edge's debut after 3 days was over 3m. Mercedes, Ospreay and Okada came in and not only did ratings not go up they've actually gone down. I don't know if Sting's a bigger draw than I thought and took some viewers with him or what but this is surprising to me.

This is why WWE isn't willing to throw out big money deals to a lot of people. Why give any of the 3 aforementioned names millions a year when Tiffany Stratton, Bron Breakker and Trick Williams can get you similar ratings at a much lower price? Mercedes' quarter of the show did do 1m viewers but Dynamite has had segments reach that number multiple times in the past year. The Big Bang Theory lead-in helps a lot in that regard. Mercedes bumped the segment up maybe 50k but with the way her fans talk about her star power I expected a much bigger bump.

I do love that Rock as a heel , and feeling like some fans don’t understand him like the Cody Crybabies , is using Black Adam type imagery in a way. The lightning strikes at the top of the ramp and him seemingly appearing as smoke is around him…is some Black Adam type arrival.

It’s so perfect that Rock is not only doing this to troll people in a way , he likely is doing it to troll James Gunn and Warner Bros Discovery. They can’t stop this type of imagery.

You make a valid point in that last paragraph, but I still applaud Mercedes.

When she was Sasha Banks she did great business for WWE and felt undervalued in the end. Good for her going to another company where she’s supposedly making the money she wants. She’ll definitely bring eyes to their women’s division… I’m not even an AEW fan and now I’m going to start watching on the strength of her. Let’s see what she does.

used car sales men also say things that make sense(especially when they're telling you what you want to hear), but it's still in my best interest to pay them no mind.

i'd really like to see kevin blackwood in aew this year. he could replace yuta in the bcc, or reunite with garcia, or even join shane taylor & lee moriarty. i think he and moriarty would make a solid team.
