When did Circe debut in the (unsexy) green jumpsuit look?

I've seen a lot of speculation that this was originally meant to have less cloth. wouldn't make it better, just different.

I'll go one extra, it would have made it much worse -- especially in that pose. I guess the designer (hopefully not Bolland) intended for it to be sexy and missed by a mile.

I still have a fondness for the Dodson take on CIRCE...

The Dodson take is so iconic it's the look used in DCUO for Circe.

I guess a sorceress can change hair color on a whim, but the purple hair was a good identifier. As I've stated above, her Perez look did seem like DC's version of Marvel's Morgan Le Fey, so maybe Dodson wanted to do something different. I don't mind his redesign of the character, but don't feel it's iconic. I think she looks too much like a warrior than a sorceress.

I think she looks good and witchy and I always like metal clad cleavage. That's one of my problems with the latest look, besides being boring it removes all her sexuality which is part of the appeal of a comic book sorceress. I can't picture the Enchantress, Morgan Le Fey, Clea, the Scarlet Witch, Madame Xanadu, etc. in a unisex sports coat and combat boots either. It's just not witchy.

Has the DC Comics version of Circe ever been addressed in the WW comic as the daughter of Helios the sun god and the oceanid Perseis (which would technically make Circe the granddaughter of the titans Oceanus and Tethys)? That's some freaking powerful bloodline right there, which would certainly make Circe a formidable villain any way you slice it.

Helios is sometimes referenced but most recent origin as of JLD is Circe was born a mortal woman IIRC
