QUESTION:
What do you get when you put together three C-listers, an ex-Avenger, a talking duck, his gorgeous girlfriend, and a misunderstood muck monster?

ANSWER:
The Key West Defenders.

After a particularly heinous adventure, Doc Strange and the rest of the Defenders big guns take off, leaving only Nighthawk, Hellcat, and Valkyrie as the core members.

The trio decide they need a change of scenery, some new members, and a new mission, and wind up relocating to the Sunshine State (Nighthawk owns several Florida properties they can use as an HQ) and building an odd new team, the main purpose of which is to safeguard the Nexus of All Realities.

Yes. Personally I have no use for Ghost Rider so I’d swap him out.

^^^I've never really seen GR to be especially arrogant, plus they have a cool stuck up fire guy in Sunfire.

Valkyrie (Brunnhilde, Asgardian weaponsmith and preeminent Chooser of the Slain; one of the "originals.")

Blue Marvel (Chosen by Stephen Strange to be his science-based counterpart.)

Dr. Strange (Incapacitated, but functions through special mystical talismans that unite the team against an ancient enemy.)

Sentry/Sentress (Mallory Gibbs. So much power, so little training. She'll need to learn fast, or all is lost.)

Gargoyle (Plays the role of mystical detective. Partners with Nighthawk in a similar capacity.)

Scarlet Scarab (Mehemet Faoul. A long line of Scarabs have fought this ancient enemy. Now it is Mehemet's turn. A collegiate peer of Adam Brashear.)

Nighthawk (Another "original." Something they did in the past comes back to haunt the team in a major way. The perfect mystery for this great detective.)

Starshine (The Light of Galador races across the universe to help the Earth in its final hour.)

Hulk (Wasn't invited, but he has a good idea of what's coming, and he knows they're going to need his help -- and then some!)
