I've seen the classic block logo being used when referring to the Post-Krakoan era, along with the overture made to Jim Lee to return to take the reigns of the line, which suggests a nostalgia direction.
Does that mean we'll lose the Krakoan X making costume designs obsolete?

I hope not. The Krakoan X design > than the OG plain X design on the uniforms. At least IMO. That's something that I hope sticks around honestly.

For me the Data pages and Krakoan style are classy and smoth.

To be fair. I Hope Krakoa doesnt go anywhere. is the best freaking status quo since Outback.

I never liked that >< design. The split makes it look like it's split in half and all going in different directions with no center point to meet at. Much prefer the solid X.

The classic logos were the best, the Krakoa stuff looks so bland, simple and boring. Compare the classic Wolverine logo to the one we have now. One is sharp and eye catching and the other looks like something you could make in Microsoft Word. I really do hope they bring them back... among other things.

Which, if you think about the various factions of mutantkind, makes somes sense…

    - Wolverine solo, first arc drawn by Capullo (basically confirmed)
    - Deadpool solo (already announced)
    - A new school book, possibly with Jubilee as the lead if she’s not in UXM.
    - An edgier ancillary X-team (could be Dark X-men, Hellions or Marauders)
    - One book where Sunspot gets a leadership role
    - Hopefully the return of Excalibur and X-factor, but this one is wishful thinking and not a guess.
    - Rogue and Kitty will be big focuses
    - Ms Marvel will be the most prominent X-teen.
    - We’re in for A LOT of MCU synergy.
    - Wolverine will be everywhere again (2-3 teams) and Deadpool will be in at least 1 team.
I rue the day The MCU ever became a thing.

It definitely makes sense even for the story. Past could be up or down, future could be up or down. Still not for me. lol

While I don't think the Krakoan X-books logos were groundbreaking (Its just barely beyond the Morrison era NEW| X |MEN Logo that was designed to look the same upside down - clever) I do enjoy the slight variation on costumes to differentiate the different groups.
X-FACTOR, SWORD, etc - though forget the design reasoning for the hollow X that X-FACTOR wore...oh wait found the reason : "Missing X" = "Missing Mutants, maybe dead"

What synergy? There's no MCU X-Men so far, only Fox X-Men as part of multiverse story.

Krakoa still exists (and everything happened).

Synergy with the MCU products aka Deadpool 3 & X-Men 97
    - Magneto leads the X-Men at the mansion.
    - Sunspot is on the flagship team or lead of another book.
    - Deadpool and Wolverine prominence

Ms. Marvel remains within the mutant world; if not the lead of next generation new mutants.

Emma Frost remains in Iron Man and the larger MU.
I was trying to do too much and not doing any of it as well as I could. But I've had a change of mind... though not everyone shall enjoy it. I will.

Some interesting comments from Liefeld re: the post-Krakoa setup…

He said "I think Marvel's got a whole new rebrand, refocus on the X-Men, that's what they are shutting down the Krakoa stuff… the new X-Men stuff will be good enough to warrant some legit excitement and if anyone of those planes legit lands, that they're going to have something…"

    Adding some speculation/ ideas:

    1. Uncanny X-Men: starring Cyclops, Wolverine, Storm, Jean, Nightcrawler, Rogue, and Ms. Marvel. Return to the mansion. My ideal writing pic would be James Tynion.
    2. West Coast X-Men: starring Jubilee and written by Gail Simone. More of a fun alternative take on the X-Men.
    3. Planet X: featuring the newly re-combined Planet Okkara and focusing on how Krakoan citizens and culture are blending with Mars and Arakko. Ideal writer would be N.K. Jemisin (wrote Green Lantern: Far Sector).
    4. Generation M: This pulls from the idea Magik had in NM to teach young mutants magic. Classes could take place in Otherworld to keep that corner of the X-verse relevant.
    5. Wolverine drawn be Capullo.
