No. The streaming shows are rarely mentioned or referenced in the movies and anything you need to know, they will explain in the movie.

actually is the other way around since Loki show is about Loki who is a "variant" because of what the Avengers did to do their time travel shenanigans to get the infinity stones.

Agents of Shield was the only one show years ago where it was connected due to Coulson dying in Avengers and the whole thing with Hydra and the downfall of SHIELD in Captain America Winter Soldier

If you are curious about what happens to Loki after he steals the Tesseract, then watch it.

If not, just watch Multiverse of Madness and quantummania.

Who cares if it's required. It's literally one of the few post endgame MCU products that's on par with the stuff that's come before. That's why you watch it.

Dr strange 2 and marvels say otherwise! So many confused people who never watched wandavision! Why is wanda evil? Who are these kids. What is this town? Sorry sucker. Watch the show. No flashback for you. Who is ms marvel? What is this thing she wears? Sorry sucker. No flashback for you in the marvels! Watch the show.

Also we have human jarvis from agent carter in endgame, the agent cap is trying to protect in cap america 2 (???) in the car was from agents of shield and had a full plot in that show and the second halicarier from avengers 2 was from agents of shield and shows fury gets it to start with!

Last season agents broke from the canon universe thanks to good old fashion time travel stuff however but there were ties in the movies. Agent cartor show is still canon despite a crossover with--agents of shield! oops. Marvel forgot about that one! Other than those little things the movies did a good job pre dr strange 2 making you not need to watch the shows to get it.

As for loki--well not sure yet but so far, it's more a tva, multiverse wrap up. Does tie into kang but we don't know if it will tie into anything in the future. Does feel more self-contained.

So what is the status of Loki in the comics and media universe?

    1. Is he dead in both?
    2. Is he just a variant sitting on a throne for a zillion years, doing what?
    3. Why is he wearing a silly hat?
    4. Sylvie - what's she doing in regards to the comics and media?

I've said before - the whole Kang as big bad is a mistake. The actor is in trouble, can be replaced but I don't see him as an exciting threat like Thanos was or someone like Galactus would be.

Kang is a great character but requires gravitas and an intelligent screenwriter. He's not a simple big-bad like Thanos where a bunch of people can dog pile on him.

Loki is alive in the comics.
Sylvie is unique to the MCU. In the comics she's a Mashup of different characters with no one to one match. For example, her design is based off the enchantress, her name reference an alias of the Enchantress and her status as a female loki calls back to the time where Loki was female.

Kang is a good idea but the MCU spread itself too thin in phase 4. Thanos's plan was pretty straightforward and he was the backburner till Infinity war. I feel like Loki's show should've been in a film people are more likely to watch. Same with Wandavision as both are critical to understanding Multiverse of Madness.

Granted Wanda would've worked better in Loki's show than in Strange's film. Loki is a villian turned hero and Wanda is a hero turned villian- that's a better matchup.
