Enjoyed both versions of the Serpentor origins in G.I. Joe, but...the comic wins hands-down for being a more likeable character. "THIS I COMMAND!" got old real fast...

1986 was a fantastic year for Marvel under Shooter despite a lot of behind the scenes drama. Superstars on all the top books. We got some legendary storylines like Under Siege, Born Again, and Mutant Massacre. 1986 was also the launch of the New Universe. Big things were happening for Marvel in this time

The Shooter era was the greatest period in Marvel's history. I started reading shortly after he got canned but I've bought virtually every comic that was published when he was the EIC and there are more fun comics to read than trash.
