Yeah, generally movie Malcolm was more lucid than his book counterpart towards the end.
Funny thing is Goldblum's portrayal was popular enough that I'm pretty sure it's the reason Crichton pretty much resurrected the character in the TLW novel without much explanation apart from "I was sort of dead or reports were greatly exaggerated" (despite the Park being napalmed with him still on it) if I remember the book correctly.

He apparently got stuck writing the sequel without Ian and found the JP universe he created needed the ironic commentator present to keep the action going. He needed someone to tell why it's going bad. He wasn't going to write a sequel without his favorite character!
What's great is that it also became an unintentional homage to Doyle and his Lost World.
On bringing Ian Malcolm back to life for The Lost World] Malcolm came back because I needed him. I could do without the others, but not him because he is the “ironic commentator” on the action. He keeps telling us why it will go bad. And I had to have him back again. […] As Mark Twain once said, “Reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.” But it’s also true that Conan Doyle (the original author of a book called The Lost World) pushed Sherlock Holmes of the Reichenbach Falls with Moriarity. And they were unquestionably dead. And after a few years, Holmes turned out to have made a miraculous recovery. So these things happen in fiction.

One thing that's kind of interesting about TLW's portrayal is that Malcolm seems a bit different than the other three films he appeared in-there's a lot of snarky bits of course but the character is generally more serious and doesn't philosophize/lecture nearly as much (apart from trying to convince Sarah to get off the island). I don't think Chaos Theory is even mentioned in the film.

Heard a rumor that Johnathan Bailey and Scarlett Johansson have already agreed to a new movie with Coleman Domingo as the villain on a podcast.
Set after Dominion and located in Thailand and Malta.
Super shocked if Johansson is actually signed if true.

Bailey does bear a resemblance to Joseph Mazello, although Mazello is still acting he doesn't really seem to be much of an action movie guy apart from a small role in the GI Joe sequel and not all that interested in playing Tim again.
So could be my theory that they might be the older Hammond/Murphy siblings.
If it's Malta wonder if it will connect to the Dinosaur black market plot that happened on the island in Dominion, but was just kind of a way for them to get to Biosyn/how Biosyn was getting some of their Dinosaurs rather than really resolved.

Trailer for the new animated series/sequel to Camp Cretaceous .
There's a spoiler about the fate of a character, who is probably written out because Jenna Ortega is pretty busy these days or above their pay grade.
Seems to kind of tie in with the Dinosaur black market seen in Fallen Kingdom and Dominion, although it was kind of sidetracked in Dominion. Wonder if Sonoya/Dichen Lachman may show up. Pretty sure those are her raptors.

Wow, dang, Jenna Ortega doesn't come back and they kill off Brooklyn in the time-skip.
Don't tell me Kenji is going to blame Darius for Brooklyn's death from the start...though Darius already blames himself .
I'm actually not surprised Ortega didn't come back (though I wonder if it was partially why or for the reason of Brooklyn's death) but why not bring Ryan Potter back as Kenji, though Darren sounds like him.
Sammy looks like she's ready to punch a bunch of dudes. I love Yaz's adult design !
Why not just recast Brooklyn? She was the TikTokker of the group. The Social Influencer that is prevalent in this generation.
"Freedom is the right of all sentient beings" - Optimus Prime
A little bit of an adjustment that she's now rendered with black hair when she had brown hair in the original cartoon, but the new look does suit her. Kinda curious where they'll take her and Sammy's relationship now that the "will they won't they" phase is resolved.
Since the trailer shows her with new dialogue from her found footage message, they did recast her. There is arguably logic to her being the one to die; she was already established to be interested in investigating things, so her having discovered a conspiracy and leaving behind notes for her friends to piece together is a more logical standpoint for a "protagonists against a conspiracy that silenced one of their own" than any of the other characters. Also, not sure who else you'd pick. Darius is the main character, so he has to say. Killing off Sammy or Yasmina runs the risk of feeding into "bury your gays" tropes and fans probably would be less accepting of them being broken up anyways (as I recall, Sammy/Yaz was a fan-favorite ship before the writers made it happen, while Brooklynn/Kenji was seen as something of a random "that's weird" thing). Not sure Ben or Kenji dying would have as much weight, so Brooklynn being the fall gal seems like the only "good" option for this kind of story.

Though her hair always looked pretty black.
I always felt like BrooklynnxKenji actually had decent build up from the get-go since they tended to hang out/banter off each other as much as Sammy or Yaz did (well, either that or BrookylnxDarius).Since the trailer shows her with new dialogue from her found footage message, they did recast her. I know this show never showed any bodies, but...
She could be running Dark Jurassic after her experience?
Be a Hell of a turn!
