    Default The Roxxon Age?

There's an incoming event about Thor called "The Roxxon Age", about Roxxon owning Marvel.

Do you think other Marvel's books (like Spider-Man) will be affected by this?

Always wished Roxxon would come back to more prominence, maybe this could be a start.

I'm not expecting much - I would guess, at most, a one-shot or mini by someone who isn't currently writing a Spider-man ongoing. Maybe someone that's doing solid work in the various Edge of Spider-verse books?

I like the concept although it hasn’t been too long since our last corporate Spider-Man event Beyond, although Ben was still trying to be a good guy in the confines of his situation so an actual corporate Spidey would be a cool villian

It reminds me of Roxxon's presence in Immortal Hulk and Kingpin owning Spider-Man's licensing rights.

I doubt the other books would be affected by it but Ewing is a master of deep cuts and building off other books. So you never know how far his stories will go.

They were the main villains in the Champions Outlawed event in 2020. I assume Thor wasn't using them at the time because their boss Minotaur, Dario Agger (who was created as a Thor villain), was out of action.

Yes. Corporate warfare is rather commonplace within the cyberpunk genre, where corporations tend to have grown so large and powerful that their private security forces might as well be militaries unto themselves. Mix that up with a superhero universe which does have a lot of mega-sized and incredibly morally bankrupt corporations to serve as villains in their own right or backers and equippers of the supervillains that superheroes face . . . yeah, it's potentially very ripe creative fruit for the picking.

But didn't Roxxon go out of business in Immortal Hulk after Agger's teamup with Xemnu.

I hope that the end of the storyline can end with at least one of the corporations being taken over completely by some of the heroes. Take their resources and use them to help people rather than exploit them. I think that Hobie Brown would be a good co-character for this storyline with Spider-Man.
