It's pretty much why I believe superheroes in general shouldn't just kill bad guys, especially in light of how "killing for a just cause" can degenerate into "killing just because I'm pissed off at [or even mildly inconvenienced by] whoever I want dead today."

True, as a Buddhist, I approach it from the POV that redemption (including atonement) is always possible no matter how small the chance (if that individual lives). And who am I to decide they should die, especially if they are not an immediate unmanageable threat to others or myself?
