Default the Madame Web movie. So its pretty much a Final Destination flick in disguise?

so basically the movie is about a Spider Woman that's a paramedic with the Final Destination visions where she and other Spider Women are being hunted by a Spider-Man serial killer that hops from one multiverse to multiverse?

If that's the case, that's a good thing. Super hero movies should diversify. I want a Ghost Rider movie being a "F&F in disguise", a Sleepwalker movie being a "Nightmare on Elm Street in disguise", etc.

Where did they get the idea for her being a paramedic from anyway? In the comics Cassandra Webb was born blind, so she could never have done such a job. And none of the other Spider-Women are one either.

And Cassandra is supposed to be an old lady.
But that has been the issue for a long time: can we still enjoy a live adaptation of a character, if that character has so little in common with the comics version? Vulture, Echo, Typhoid Mary, Taskmaster, Hank Pym, Rusty, etc.

Ya see, the problem with that is Madame Web certainly won’t have any of the creative kills or over-the-top gore that make those Final Destination films enjoyable. Branching out into other genres is a nice ambition, but when all you have to offer is watered down, safer version of another movie, that’s a problem.

Another thing to consider with Madame Web is that the movie supposedly takes place over 20+ years ago at some point in the 90's. If they move the character into the present day, they can easily age the actress up. The unfortunate thing is that both Mattie and Anya will also be aged up 20+ years rather than being the teenagers they are supposed to be.

Interesting, a lot of MCU characters come from the 1990s (or a little earlier) Nick Fury, Captain Marvel, Hank Pym Ant-Man, Jan Pym Wasp and now Madame Web. Maybe there can be a 1990s Avengers akin to the Avengers of the 1950s.

Madame Web isn't MCU. She's AU, like the other Spider-Verse characters like Venom.

From plot info it may have a little bit of terminator also.

And Cassandra is supposed to be an old lady.

She looks pretty young in her first appearance to me.

The addiction to Hostess' Twinkies Cakes is no joke. Look what it did to her.

Rumored to have young versions of Ben (Adam Scott) and Mary (Emma Roberts) in there too. Not sure about Richard and May though.

So I'm guessing we're going to get some weird Spider-Man origin story thing going on too. Like Madame Web and the Spider-women are somehow involved in some aspect of Spider-Man's backstory, like maybe he loses his parents because of her or something.

Seems like they combined Morlun with Ezekiel as well.

That would explain why Silk has apparently been given Anya's Spider Society stuff. Silk's comics story (involving Ezekiel) would be rendered impossible by these adaptation changes, while Anya will be aged out.
