How original, right?
Honestly, Old Woman Phoenix looks MILES better under this artist.
(although they couldn't refrain from doing a buttshot, at least it's a MATURE butt shot)
Demon Wolverine (I am guessing from that What If? Inferno issue) is staring at Earth X Wolvie like he is thinking about having him for lunch. No doubt the first one to be killed. I bet Jane Howlett somehow ends in the Marvel universe. Get the feeling that there is a bit of a push behind the character.
If anyone is looking forward to some Logan x Jean, this is the book. Ties with the 05 book. Nothing else.
I’m in. Weapon X? Old Man Logan? Sold.
“Not as good as I once was… but I’m as good, once, as I ever was.”
Aren't they doing this same thing with Creed in Sabretooth War? Sigh.
I read the interview and I'm kinda interested in it now, especially Jane Howlett. Also glad this is all alt. reality characters and no one from the 616 universe.
Kind of, yes. Creed has assembled a crew of Sabretooth variants from other timelines, and also has some weird headless drones which I assume are weaker Sabes variants he's collected and made into an army of clawed slaves. He also mentioned having killed some weaker Wolverine variants as he and his crew cut a swath across the multiverse before coming back to timeline 616, so my mind automatically went to "what if Logan countered with his own crew of stronger Wolverine variants?"
Timing would be good for such a showdown, with Deadpool 3 set to feature Wolverine and being focused on multiversal shenanigans. Not sure if Zombie Wolverine or fat Earth X Wolverine would make the cut, but AoA Weapon X and OML sure would.

I’ll pass on this. After that X-men set up one shot for this series and all the alt reality/time travel stuff I’m over it. The X-men survived so long without a time travel/alt reality story and now it feels like there’s one every month since the success of AoA. I’d like to go at least several years before we do it.
The art sure looks pretty and, even though I didn't love Original X-Men, Christos Gage knows how to craft a compelling story. I suspect Jane Howlett will be the breakout character here and Earth X Wolverine the butt of jokes.
Dad bod Wolverine and how many times can Wolverine hook up with Jean in a single comic?
