Default The Missing Glory That Was...The AMAZING Spider-Man

I haven't been to Spider-Man for many years; since the J. Michael Straczynski days. Probably due to book overkill with no continuity in story. The Magic that was The Amazing and sometimes Spectacular, but always with a Web of has died..

    Here's a Spider-Man Fun Fact friends...

    Good question!

The thread title gave me the impression it was yet another place for folks to get their down on (and it may very well be that), but the "fun fact" posted is quite uplifting (literally!), so hopefully folks can celebrate the glory of Spider-man instead?

    We shall see...

Since I am not completely clear on what this thread is exactly about, I will just posit this question: am I alone in preferring there being four different Spider-Man books a month like there were in the 1990s? I mean before the 2nd Clone Saga when each book told its own story. I always liked the idea that you could get a different kind of story each week. I know that they won't go back to that model again preferring Amazing. But I will always look fondly on early 90s Spidey.

It would be cool if we get a new title like Legends of the Dark Knight (maybe Legends of the Arachknight?), just telling self contained stories. But Marvel is relauching all the titles every two years, so the best thing we can get is new mini series more often, like Symbiote Spider-Man.

The guy is saying the glory days of Spidey was the ASM, Spec, Web Of days. Seems pretty clear to me. Not sure what else there to say about that except “I agree” or “I disagree.” Spidey being better before OMD or before the Clone Saga (depending on your feelings) is a topic that’s been pretty beaten to death.

Glad we got that cleared up. Yet another thread to get your down on - got it!

No different than music, tv, movies, etc - the "glory days" varies by the individual's perception. There are folks who consider the 60's as the glory days and would think "the magic" left upon exposure to the character in the 70's or 80's.

As mentioned, the topic has been beaten to death, but there's always room for one more!

Not really a topic that warrants an agree or disagree IMHO - a simple "ok" is probably enough.

So, you haven't read Spider-man in more than fifteen years because you don't like it anymore.

Why was this worth its own topic?

    Well, that escalated quickly. Lol.
"Has Sariel summoned you here, Azrael? Have you come to witness the miracle of your brethren arriving on Earth?"

"I WILL MIX THE ASHES OF YOUR BONES WITH SALT AND USE THEM TO ENSURE THE EARTH THE TEMPLARS TILLED NEVER BEARS FRUIT AGAIN!"

"*sigh* I hoped it was for the miracle."

Dan Watters' Azrael was incredible, a constant delight and perhaps too good for this world (but not the Forth). For the love of St. Dumas, DC, give us more!!!

    :-)

Seems one can't have or ask for a simple opinion these days...
