So Marvel is reissuing Amazing Spider-Man 253 as a facsimiile issue, This, to me, tells the "Endgame" of 'Gang War.' The Rose will somehow come out triumphant. The Rose will be the 'Kingpin' of NYC when it is all said and done.

I hate how Fred's death, and its impact, went basically nowhere because of how rushed and crammed the final arc was
Man deserved better..

But can you imagine anyone seriously saying "Boomerang deserved better" before Spencer's run?

(Not that you're wrong overall: not only was the final arc rushed, the Sinister War miniseries had two issues of filler, probably because there was no space to actually develop a plot. But oh for the days when there was a baseline of quality such that one could complain about the lapses from it.)

Boomerang receiving consistent exposure in the flagship Spider-man book and basically being the top supporting character throughout the entrire run was already better than he deserved.

If Spencer ever comes back to Marvel, I'm sure he'll bring him back.
