From what I recall, Janice simply told Tombstone that she was taking over and he conceded. Hopefully, Tombstone throws Janice under the bus because I don't buy her as a crime boss. I think the lack of heavy hitters is what's caused this Gang War event to be watered down. I can buy into Madame Masque being a credible threat. In opposition of that, they should've gone with Mr. Negative or the Hood or hell, even Don Fortunato.

Basically, his "alliance" with Peter/Spider-Man, or the perception that such an alliance existed between them, at the beginning of Wells's run tanked his street cred with his (formerly) fellow crime bosses, so he threw in his lot with the heroes in the hopes of protecting Janice from getting too caught up in this current Gang War. Of course . . . that's not really working out, now is it?

Yeah, I wouldn't be suprised if Tombstone is waiting for the opportunity after the battle to reclaim his position as the boss of the gangs. After all, wasn't that teased in the Timeless issue in December?

I feel like Robbie would probably be really upset about losing Randy but not to the extent where I could believe he'd throw out his own ethics and belief in Spidey after seeing him do his best...unless he becomes self-aware and realizes how useless Spider-Man has been in this story and he accomplishes nothing, then he would just be reporting the facts .

That seems likely to me. He is going to wait until everyone's guard is down then do something horrible. Lonnie is playing the long game. Though considering how unreliable the Timeless specials can be, I tend to take anything they show with a grain of salt. Ben never made it to Hollywood for example.

And then Peter will feel guilty because he helped Tombstone succeed only to then feel completely fine by the next arc.

Seriously - like it was written by a 10 y.o. Even in the golden and silver ages of comics there were tragedies, which guilts lasted a couple of issues before moving on. After Gwen died, you think Peter bounced off just like that in the next issue, like nothing happened?

Does Tombstone suspect that Peter and Spider-Man are the same?

Web of Spider-Man's FORESHADOW variant (Tombstone as the new Kingpin of Crime, Norman as The Green Goblin and Ben Reilly returning to his Scarlet Spider persona after cosplay for two years as Chasm):

"The Enigma Force is not a tool to be manipulated by mortals. The Enigma Force comes to those it deems worthy. What temerity, what arrogance, makes you think you are worthy? Have you not all made mistakes? Unforgiveable ones?" - Captain Universe

"Call me an Avenging Angel, Baron, come to safeguard Earth...call me CAPTAIN UNIVERSE!" - Ray Coffin

"You're my heart, Mary Jane Watson...you're my jackpot." - Peter Parker

Please don't tell me that after GW, after the upcoming fallout of GW and Electro issues, after the upcoming Chasm arc and after the RotG arc they'll end the run with another Tombstone/gang arc. I'll blow a fuse if that's the case. Are they seriously not gonna resolve the Peter/MJ/Paul thing and leave it for the next run, where the next team has to clean it up? Incompetent morons, these people.

They'll probably mirror the first arc. It'll mostly be about Tombstone and all of the Peter/MJ/Paul stuff will be happening simultaneously in the background. Either that or Tombstone will steal the secrets of Quantum Symbology and become the new Wayep.

You know I used to be the biggest fan of JRJR back in the late 90s. Even then a lot of people didn't like his art style (especially a few well remembered reviewers on Peter Parker's Pad), but I couldn't get enough. Around the end of Peter Parker: Spider-Man's first run, I noticed that the quality had dropped while his Thor work was just as awesome which annoyed me because I was not that much of a Thor fan. When he began to just on working on Spider-Man exclusively in the early 00s, I had hoped the quality would return but it never did. What a sad descent he has had. I swear that I have seen him use that same pose of Tombstone at least four times. Even the Green Goblin looks lifeless in that shot.

It'd be such an eye sore to read if it happens like that. They're just determined to continue sinking the TITANIC, as long as they don't change the course, even after hitting the massive iceberg.
