Yeah, she's the leader of the vigilante team that is protecting the Hill. According to what Martinbrough has said in interviews, Jason will be a mentor of sorts for them.
There is a lack of Red Hood in that preview ...
Well, yeah. Is explicitly set before Joker War and Jason wasn't back in the Hill yet.
I don't know why trying to forget Joker War when it did nothing for Jason. Unless you meant Gotham War, that one was a mediocre seller with only the one shots selling well, the RH mini failed to get into the top 50 so I don't think it will be hard to be swept under the rug.
Its not like Joker War is really necessary for this set-up. Gotham is always full of problems after all.
Just have it be a general Joker gang running amuck and boom, it works well on its own without any events.
first handful of pages is pre-Joker War, the rest of the issue is post Joker war.
This was pretty good!
Is good to see a Jason who is actually using his experience and is not recklessly rushing into everything headfirst. Jason as a mentor is definitely one of my favorite takes of him. And I'm sure everyone will be happy that he is using the guns against despite the cover implying he would be using the crowbars.
Just flippd through it, looks to me like there is still way more Dana than Jason in that book.
I'll tell you I don't mind
Jason using guns is a good thing
Just as he manages to have a good relationship with Strike and does his thing
the grand imperial are interesting enemies
Dana is not portrayed as a complete and perfect PC and Jason and reinforcements saving her is good
aesthetically they are the group of vigilantes they are cute
Okay so its a decent start but I hope Jason gets more focus next issue.
Like I gel with the general concept, I find its good but I don't gel well with Jason being a supporting character in his own book.
I like the idea of Jason mentoring a group of amateur vigilantes, but I'm not sure how I feel about Jason being treated like a supporting character in his own book, especially because there are only 6 issues. If Jason doesn't start taking more focus next issue, I'm dropping it like I'm sorry, but I'm not paying money to read about a random girl I couldn't care less about.
