Jonesy in Alien and Aliens.
Cute cat.
Karl/Carl from The Castle of Cagliostro (1979):
"Good-bye. Good luck. Good riddance."
Blanche, Auntie's Familiar from the Japanese bizzare horror film Hausu.
At one point it even meows the film's theme music!
also Ebuzz (Interesting name for a dog) in Poltergeist, another more famous haunted house movie (and one with far less of a live body count). Like Carol Anne he seems to hear the ghosts at times, and with Robbie is briefly sent away for his protection when the Carol Anne rescue operation happens.
In Poltergeist II he helps save the family when the Garage goes nuts and starts attacking them with cables and chainsaws.
