Not really a favorite but thought I'd bring up the somewhat forgotten one, Ruskies:
Basically a Russian seaman washes up in Key West and befriends/hides with the help of a group of military-obsessed kids, with a young Joaquin Phoenix and Pete Billingsley. Whip Hubley, who was Hollywood in Top Gun, plays the Russian, Mischa.
