Spider-Boy #1 there should've stated it's year, since the name was finally reused last year for an ongoing series. So I'd say that confirms those lists aren't final.

I don't think they do. The only teams with equivalents are the Avengers (JLA), Invaders (JSA), New Warriors, Young Avengers, Champions (Teen Titans and Young Justice) and Thunderbolts (Suicide Squad). X-Men and Guardians don't have counterparts.

JLX and Magnetic Men are both missing because their writer is Gerard Jones, who's currently in prison for having child pornography. His work is therefore effectively banned.

Yeah, I forgot that Mr. Gross wrote those issues. I completely get both companies not wanting to publish those issues especially since DC is pretty well known for their solid residual payments. It's a shame though as there is some solid art from Barry Kitson and Howard Porter who if memory serves got his job doing JLA from this.

Oddly the hulk ricks wedding issue with dc comics death making an oked by dc cameo is still allowed to be printed by marvel. Then there is the unofficial cameo from barry flash in quasar.

Check again. The woman who talked with Marlo is never named. It's all subtle, as in her saying that they had met "briefly", and with the brush (a pun on the phrase "having a brush with death"). And they never show her face. There's nothing unique or trademarkable about what we saw: just a generic goth girl. If DC wanted to do something about this alleged cameo, their lawyers would have a hard time trying to prove (meaning, legally) that the woman is death and not just a generic and unnamed goth girl.

Peter David contacted DC and Neil Gaimon specifically to get permission. They gave him a few restrictions, like he couldn't show the ankh.

The original Guardians? Probably the Legion of Superheroes. Both set a 1000 years in the future.

Modern day Guardians? Maybe L.E.G.I.O.N. or the Omega Men

They certainly want to push Suicide Squad as their Guardians, but that's never really caught on.

The Legion's Marvel counterpart is the Starjammers.

Currently? Gerard Jones was released from prison in December 2022. He never got to serve the full sentence. But then, most of the inmates get an early release to avoid overcrowding in prisons.

Wait, so has it been confirmed that there are missing Amalgam issues? I’ve seen other places say they just didn’t list them all, hence the “and more”. This would be a complete waste of time if it wasn’t complete.

I assumed he was still in jail because it was a six year sentence and it's not been six years yet (he should've been due out in the autumn this year). Early release shouldn't be happening. Build more prisons!
