    Default Mike Parobeck: an appreciation

Love this guy's work and miss him.

I am the proud owner of a copy of Batman Adventures #12 that I found in a charity thrift store. I'm sure he'd be amazed at how much its worth. Love the opening splash panel showing batsy in a cliff hanger situation.

Also love his final work: a few pages in the B&R annual.

He also did JSA, El diablo, the Fly, Elongated man and some other stuff.

    Anyone else like Mike?

Found a copy of Batman Adventures 12 in the dollar bin about 20 years ago and gave it to my niece who was like four at the time. Guess how much I've been kicking myself ever since.

    ^^^GREAT Art on the Fly.
I instantly became a fan (of both Mike and the character).

Did he ever do any significant work for Marvel?

All I could find were a couple of covers for X-Men The Early Years…

…which he knocked out of the park of course.

I’d LOVE to have seen him draw Daredevil, for obvious reasons.

Sadly, I've regretted never giving much thought about his work during his time at Marvel Comics
But, almost everything he's done for DC Comics has become an All-Time Favorite & it is truly missed (IMHO):

I enjoyed Mr. Parobeck's work on El Diablo comic book which sadly will never be reprinted, due to its association with the writer Gerard Jones who-co-created the character El Diablo.
