I love Darkseid more for his potential than for how he has been portrayed. No single hero should ever be able to beat him, it should take an entire team of A list heroes. I think maybe the only time I've been truly impressed with how he was written has been The Great Darkness Saga from Legion of Super-Heroes. These are supposed to be gods...even someone like Granny Goodness should be able to give Superman or Wonder Woman a run for their money...they haven't, but they should be. I love them for what they should be lol.
