Yep, in his response just above he ruled them out

Clint Barton from early Avengers Endgame (just as useless here as in the Avengers)

Gandalf and Aragorn from Jackson's films. As a bonus, Aragorn comes with a free snot army! As you will see, they are about as useless here as Barton.

Surtur, Hela, Heimdall and Valkyrie from Thor: Ragnarok (and L&T for Valk).

    Gorr from Love and Thunder

    Thanos from late Avengers Endgame.

As a protest to the overkill, I'll not bring a 10th.

Didn't Optimus Prime have a sword in a few of the movies?

    That should be overkill.

Ah I somehow managed to interpret that as comic versions, despite the "live-action" criteria

Seeing the likes of He-Man and Zorro in the early answers (who are, in fact, comic book characters) didn't help, mind you.

Speaking as someone who has had many reading comprehension failures here over the years, completely understandable!

And yes, there certainly were errors before yours. ^_^ Mine was not assuming the OP meant 'all comic style media' when they made that rule, not just Western Comic Books'.

I thought He-Man was a cartoon first, then got comics made after the show was popular.

He-Man was a toyline before anything else. The toys came with mini-comics that often didn't match the later cartoons.

I tried to go with characters that no one else picked that would still have a chance to win... though these characters would quickly part ways after the mission is complete! The team is:

Westley, the Dread Pirate Roberts (The Princess Bride). Westley is the leader, a quick thinking strategist- who knows he can't trust Dracula or Darth Sidious, he just uses them to quickly decimate the opposing army.

Violet (Ultraviolet 2006) Violet is super fast, tough, and a skilled swords woman. The army mooks are cut down like butter... very quickly.

Li Mu Bai (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon). He's a very good swordsman with Wushu/floaty stuff. Not sure it's going to be enough.

Darth Sidious (Star Wars, prequel trilogy). Blasts the enemies liberally with force lightning and is a hell of a threat with a lightsaber.

Dracula (Dracula 1992). Lots of esoterics. He will probably go straight at the "pretender" Dracula untold after the army is beaten, which won't take long. I imagine this is a flush with blood, peak Drac, prepped for war. So, a young Gary Oldman, wearing the funky red armor from the flashbacks.

River Tam (Serenity) A good and fast warrior. But nothing special compared to the others.
Perseus (Clash of the Titans 2010) His "equipment" includes magical weapons, and a medusa head...(!)

Kaulder (The Last Witch Hunter) He regenerates.

Prince Colwyn (Krull) He hangs back and uses the Glaive, which is quite cool and powerful. Though it's possible someone kills him from afar. Actually, he got flame powers at the end of the movie, so that's an option too! But no defenses to speak of, so he could get taken out real quick.

rounding out the team is Robin Hood (Prince of Thieves)

Compared to the OP's team- I've got two Vampires (Dracula and Violet), Darth Sidious, a tactical genius, a regenerating centuries old warrior, and a demigod wielding a medusa head (plus a few other magical doodads). The army is a non issue, honestly. I'd have Sidious and Prince Colwyn take them out, while the others go after the big threats. Then Sidious joins the battle too.
