Right?! This was OG Mystique before Claremont brought her over to X-Men and fleshed out her character... this was BRUTAL to say the least and I'd argue more detestable than a lot of what other "supervillains" regularly do.

We've seen Carol patch things up with Rogue a few times and coming to an understanding and mutual respect, there was no such process with Raven and by all accounts Carol should want to pulverize her on the spot upon sight, not attend her wedding LOL

Well, seeing how often paradigm shifts occur within the Earth-616 Universe they'll probably later justify Carol's lack of behavior on the fact that the part of her that should remember what Raven did to Michael Barnett was retconned away because it didn't fit with Mystique and Irene's current narrative... I'm just saying

With Kieron Gillen writing it, I have every confidence this will be one fun story. I think the cover might be a bit misleading though in that it makes you think the wedding is happening in the present when we know it happened in the past before Irene died. So I reckon the cover is purely symbolic and I'll also ignore Carol Danvers smiling as Mystique ties the knot, after she brutally murdered her ex-boyfriend in Carol's living room.

It'd be even funnier if it's coming after Gillen breaks them up because Raven finds out what Irene did with Kurt.
