Default Need Some Help Purchasing Rampage Magazine UK Issue

The following was allegedly taken from a 1979 Rampage Magazine issue. However, im not sure what issue this was transposed from. From what I could determine in 1979, their issues ranged from somewhere between 10 and 20. At any rate, does anyone have any idea which specific issue actually captured this statement? I'm hoping to purchase a physical copy. thanks in advance

    1979 from Rampage Magazine(UK)

The interviewer (someone called Richard Burton, I'll abbreviate it to RB) is asking Chris various questions, working through the characters...

    "RB: Storm next...

Chris Claremont: Storm is basically what she is...a goddess, a three-dimensional goddess, if such a thing is possible.

RB: When the new X-Men first appeared Storm was probably the most powerful and dramatic member. Do you feel now that she's been slightly upstaged by Phoenix?

Chris Claremont: No. In equal terms of raw power, they're approximately equal.

Jean can maintain a higher burst...she can peak higher than Storm but she can't hold it for long. The thing with Storm is that all we've done till now is show her throwing lightning bolts and creating hurricanes, but she can do far more. Phoenix is more visual - the 'bird effect' is more spectacular. So the gist of it is that they complement each other. They do different things in different ways."

hey there and thank you so much! no I don't the only information I have is the detail in the op. I did narrow it down to it potentially being in between issues 7 through 18 but that was just based upon the year provided in the op.

    Should you be posting that?

    NO PROMOTION OF ILLEGAL MATERIAL

Links to illegal download/viewing/streaming sites or material are not allowed. It should also go without saying that discussions/suggestions of obtaining copyrighted material by those means are not allowed either. Public domain material, as well as previews, trailers, and clips are fine.
I'm pretty sure that means no linking to full issues. These magazines aren't public domain (the original content would be owned by Panini, who bought Marvel UK in the 90s, and the reprinted Marvel strips are owned by Disney of course).

I have been searching for years to purchase those old Marvel UK Spectacular Spider-Man magazines without much luck. I own two and they were extremely hard to find.

They had 11 page all new stories written by British writers. Not just reprints.

Didn't that Spectacular Spider-Man comic start off reprinting US stories based on the 90s cartoon? Then it ran out of material and started doing new stuff. Eventually Panini UK was banned from creating new content and it was rebranded as Spider-Man Magazine (using Marvel Adventures comic strips), then Ultimate Spider-Man, using US comics based on that cartoon. It still exists, now being based on the Disney XD Spider-Man cartoon.

These are the ones. Most are reprints but some have original stories in an alternate universe. Who banned them from writing original stories? I always assumed Marvel was OK with this. These are still hard to come by. I just want the ones with original stories not the reprints.

Marvel US did, in 2011. The Collectors Editions mags used to include UK originated mini-strips which were dropped, and the kids mags like Spider-Man's started using US reprint... though I wonder if they allowed it again at some point - the US material ought to be exhausted by now as the Disney XD cartoon finished a while ago, and therefore of course so did it's comic tie-ins.

I guess Disney wants to deny great potential writers like Moore and Morrison avenues into the industry. Oh well I’m still going to search for the magazines with original content in them.
