Not just Scrooge. Probably all the main characters. I'd expect Mickey Mouse to move over to Marvel as well. It's about time they came in-house. Why licence them out when they own a comic publisher?

The only thing I'm surprised about is that this didn't happen a decade ago. They've owned Marvel for nearly 15 years now.

I thought it was cheaper to license them out to independent publishers such as IDW?

Hard to say. Do they make more in licensing fees than they would in profits from publishing them themselves?

Well, the IDW Disney books weren't really original so much as they were old european comics translated into english. Apparently this is something brand-new, Aaron is writing it, so there's probably going to be some deconstruction involved.

Uncle Scrooge will uinderstand than capitalism is evil and he will donate everything to social causes meanwhile he became a hippie social activist.

Since Aaron is writing it, I imagine we will get to see such sights as the Uncle Scrooge of 10,000 years B.C.E. who is supposed to be more important he really turns out to be, the Orb making random appearances for some reason, and Echo somehow ending up being the most important character in the story.

I want Scrooge to get a gauntlet made purely out of money, gather the Infinity dimes, quarters, and nickels snap his fingers and half the money disappears from the universe and relocates into his money vault. Do it Marvel!

Jason Aaron writing an all ages comic, let alone Uncle Scrooge, is surreal.
